Hi guys!
I don't know if it falls automatically under Red Cross as an approved donation option, but if not: could you add the Irish Red Cross? It has a Nepal Earthquake appeal: http://www.redcross.ie/home/

Sounds perfect! I'll add it to the list when I can, but consider it fine.

eta: Done.

Quick question!

I won a bid in the fandom auction and I want to make my donation to Doctors without Borders but, as I am Canadian, is it okay to do it through their Canadian website so that I can get a tax receipt?

A list of vetted charities that are confirmed in doing direct work in Nepal right now (all links to their Nepal pages with visible donate buttons or already to the donation pages):

Save the children (I know you had the Australian one, but this is the one that actually has a presence in Nepal, I guess the payments go here anyways, but just in case someone wants to see directly what they do) - https://secure.savethechildren.org/site/c.8rKLIXMGIpI4E/b.9274575/k.FD90/Nepal_Earthquake_Childrens_Relief_Fund/apps/ka/sd/donor.asp

Hello!

This is such a wonderful community, and I didn't even know it existed! Great job, you guys!

I was wondering something though: all the prices are in $, can I donate in € instead? And is it alright if I donate to the website of the Italian Red Cross (http://www.cri.it/home)? Even if the receipt I get is in Italian?

Thank you in advance! :D x

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you on this! I know you've already made your donation so my reply is useless to you at this point, but yes, you can donate in any currency :) And in any language.

Thank you so much for participating!

Oh my! With all these comments I have no clue how you manage to stay on top of things - and look at me! Just adding a new comment to the millions you surely get!

Thank you anyway, I'm thinking about donating again so, I'll keep this in mind! :D x

Thanks for doing this

I believe you recognized World Vision as an approved option before. Here's the link to their Nepal Earthquake relief effort:

I already donate to MSF by standing order and gift aid it, since I am a UK tax payer. It strikes me as being more efficient in admin and tax if I just increase the standing order since the time an effort fall on me and my bank. Would this be OK please?
And thank you so much for doing this.

Sorry, I've just realised the problem with this - I don't do internet banking so emailing the confirmation wouldn't work. Sorry to be so silly.

Would SOS - Kinderdorf (SOS Children's Villages) be ok to donate to?
The organisation has several orphanages in Nepal that survived the earthquake and are now "base camps" for many of the helpers. (german website: http://www.sos-kinderdorf.de/portal/aktuelles/-erdbeben-in-nepal---unterstuetzen-sie-die-sos-nothilfeprogramme-142710?gclid=CLSUx8mzpMUCFazKtAod4BUAYQ)

I went ahead and donated via American Red Cross, but I wanted to give you another resource for donations, too.

https://www.globalsamaritan.org/

This is a wonderful organization, and we've donated through them to multiple situations that have occurred. Just thought I'd pass the info along :-)
